An Interview with Nick

What led you to CFA BRR?

"I had just graduated from Benedict College with my degree in Business Administration.  I was looking for restaurant experience with the goal of one day running my own restaurant.  I was considering pursuing the path to becoming an Operator or maybe even other opportunities within Chick-fil-A Corporate."

What kept you at CFA BRR?

"The people I work with are why I love my job.  My favorite thing is helping our team members continue to develop both professionally and personally.  And to me, its often the little things that matter the most.  Recently, I was serving a guest in the drive thru during breakfast.  I started shaking up her OJ bottle (like I always do).  It was such a big deal to her and she was so impressed with the care we show even in such small details.  I think that's what working at CFA BRR is all about."

What's next for Nick?

Nick was hired as team member at Bush River in May of 2016 and with hard work and initiative transitioned to the leadership team during his first year with the company.  Our time working under the umbrella of CFA corporate was both a stretching time but also a season of growth for Nick.  Under Operator Laurel Garcia, he continues growing and gaining more insight into the world of the QSR industry.  In particular, he has enjoyed focusing on the finer points of managing labor and expenses, adding to his knowledge and continuing his own professional development.

Originally from Summerville, SC, Nick enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.  When he isn't running shifts or baking biscuits, he loves to bake at home and eat out with friends.

Do you know someone who would be a great fit for the growth-oriented family culture at CFA Bush River Road?  Or maybe you're ready to begin writing your own Chick-fil-A story?  Reach out to Jonathan at careers@cfabushriver.com for more information about career and internship opportunities.

Tre's Chick-fil-A Story

In my time with Chick-fil-A, I've had the privilege of working with a lot of inspiring young people.  It's amazing but not uncommon to see our team members develop into business leaders and agents of change in our community.  Occasionally, I get to work alongside someone who not only inspires and challenges me personally, but who also has a profound impact on everyone around them as well.  Treshaun Jacobs is just such a person. Tre joined the team at Chick-fil-a Bush River Road in August of 2021 during a pivotal time for the future of our business.  We were transitioning out of a season of corporate stewardship as we prepared to welcome a new operator.  Tre quickly established a reputation for dependability and selfless service.  In the weeks and months after this transition, he proved time and again how valuable he had become to our organization.  Years later, his joy in serving others refuses to be limited by the four walls of the restaurant.  In addition to leading our team

Senora Gladys' Chick-fil-A Story

Some of the most powerful stories I know have begun from a place of pain and loss. With over 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry, I’ve known and even played a small role in many of these stories myself. However, occasionally, you hear a story that changes the way you look at the world. A story that inspires hope and even challenges you to make the world a better place. I’m honored to have the privilege of sharing one of these stories with you. Anyone who knows her could tell you that Mrs. Gladys is the human embodiment of joy and perseverance. She is the mother of three, grandmother of six “princesas hermosas” (beautiful princesses) and the proverbial matriarch of her clan. She built a successful business operating a family-owned restaurant in her native Colombia. Unfortunately, with her success came the attentions of opportunistic guerillas who threatened her family with violence and extortion. Most of her family were able to escape to Ecuador, but some were unable to

LaDasia's Chick-fil-A Story

“It was the best decision I’ve ever made.  It’s so easy to grow in this community.  This is where I needed to be.” LaDasia joined the team at Chick-fil-A Bush River Road in the summer of 2021.  Shortly after the passing of our long-time operator and in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, it was certainly a difficult season for our unit.  Encouraged to apply by her family, her aim was to simply pull down a steady paycheck.  As one of our recently promoted supervisors, she is now building a legacy of care that goes miles beyond making ends meet. In our conversation, LaDasia shared with me that her grandpa has always been a source of inspiration for her.  Unflagging support and a persistent challenge are the trademarks of his investment in her journey.  We continued to talk about investing in others and the trickle down effect of this style of leadership.  This is something she is deeply passionate about.  I love watching her seize teachable moments as she shapes developing leaders while
