Margarita's Chick-fil-A Story

It was time for a change.  Burned out. Underappreciated. Overworked.  This was a textbook toxic workplace scenario.   As a naturally optimistic person, questions like "Why am I here?" and "Am I making a difference?" were out of character for her.  Gathering her courage, Margarita began the search for an employer who would value her as a person and not primarily as a resource.   "I want to take care of people...to spread love in the world!"  Empathy has always come naturally to Margarita.  With her experience as a twin and as an older sister to many siblings, it simply comes with the territory.  And with a background in the healthcare industry, she knew she needed a job where she could use her passion for people.  But this time, she wanted a family that would care for her as well.   Margarita's search ended when she met Chick-fil-A operator Laurel Garcia.  "I knew this environment was different, that she cared about he...

An Interview with Nick

What led you to CFA BRR? "I had just graduated from Benedict College with my degree in Business Administration.  I was looking for restaurant experience with the goal of one day running my own restaurant.  I was considering pursuing the path to becoming an Operator or maybe even other opportunities within Chick-fil-A Corporate." What kept you at CFA BRR? "The people I work with are why I love my job.  My favorite thing is helping our team members continue to develop both professionally and personally.  And to me, its often the little things that matter the most.  Recently, I was serving a guest in the drive thru during breakfast.  I started shaking up her OJ bottle (like I always do).  It was such a big deal to her and she was so impressed with the care we show even in such small details.  I think that's what working at CFA BRR is all about." What's next for Nick?  Nick was hired as team member at Bush River in May of 2016 and with hard work ...

Emily's Chick-fil-A Story

What led you to Chick-fil-A? "As a student at Columbia International University, the main thing  I was looking for in a part-time job was an uplifting community.  I knew that Chick-fil-A worked with students and I really wanted to work with people who would encourage me in my faith.   What's kept you here? "I need a job! No, but the people here are the heart of the organization.  My coworkers are awesome.  Chick-fil-A pulls from a strong talent pool so turnover is lower than at most restaurants.  The friends I have at work are easy to relate to  and they care about their job.  Sure, there are some rough days, but somehow those almost always turn into funny stories!" What's next? "I'm really passionate about caring for other people and am currently studying to work in counseling.  I think it would be great to use that passion here at Chick-fil-A Bush River Road or maybe even one day with CFA Corporate." Emily started with Chick-fil-A Bush...
