Amber's Chick-fil-A Story

Amber's first job at age sixteen was working in customer service at Chick-fil-A in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She learned the value of hard work, but more importantly she learned how to treat others. After relocating to Florida, Amber determined that she would only apply to work at Chick-fil-A. She can remember praying through her entire interview at a Chick-fil-A in Tampa, only to find out later, the hiring manager knew immediately he would offer her the job.

Then came the pandemic. In the midst of a multitude of challenges, her CFA family continued to care for her by throwing a baby shower as she welcomed her daughter into the world. One of her managers even assisted her in financing a car so she could continue to work to provide for her family.

In time, Amber made the decision to move back to South Carolina to be closer to family, once again determining that working at Chick-fil-A was the only job she would pursue. Shortly after being hired at CFA Bush River Road, she realized she had been welcomed into a different sort of family. She was overwhelmed by the love shown by her new collective of coworkers.

"Especially as a single mom, my Chick-fil-A family understands how much I need the hours, flexibility, and a stable work/life balance. My team has already invested so much in me. I want to continue to grow with Chick-fil-A. My opportunity is here! I want to work alongside the people I love the most!"

With over 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry, I’ve known and even played a small role in many of these stories myself. However, occasionally, you hear a story that changes the way you look at the world. A story that inspires hope and even challenges you to make the world a better place. I’m honored to have the privilege of sharing one of these stories with you. Anyone who knows her could tell you that Mrs. Gladys is the human embodiment of joy and perseverance. She is the mother of three, grandmother of six “princesas hermosas” (beautiful princesses) and the proverbial matriarch of her clan. LaDasia's Chick-fil-A Story

“It was the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s so easy to grow in this community. This is where I needed to be.” LaDasia joined the team at Chick-fil-A Bush River Road in the summer of 2021. Shortly after the passing of our long-time operator and in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, it was certainly a difficult season for our unit. Encouraged to apply by her family, her aim was to simply pull down a steady paycheck. As one of our recently promoted supervisors, she is now building a legacy of care that goes miles beyond making ends meet.
